You will continue heading north and then swing around toward the east heading to the Dandenong Ranges. Arrive at Bayswater Park for a rest. |

From here you will enter bush trails and start your climb through the beautiful western face of Mount Dandenong. Arrive Doongalla Station for a rest. |

Soon you'll change direction and head south, following bush trails you'll skirt around the mountain heading to Ferntree Gully. Some great walking and challenging climbs await you on this leg of the walk. Arrive Ferntree Gully Picnic Ground. |

Exit Ferntree Gully Picnic Ground and begin the final big push on the world famous 1000 steps (commemorating the Aussie military campaign in the Kakoda Trail during World War II) and up to One Tree Hill Picnic Ground. Now an easy descent followed by your last easy climb - and and then into the beautiful Sherbrook Forest for the last few kms. |
